Short-Term Seasonal Spa Shutdown
Planning to take a break from using your hot tub for a portion of the season? Our Short-Term Seasonal Spa Shutdown service safely prepares your spa for temporary inactivity while helping maintain the condition of your equipment and water system.
Important: This service is not a winterization service. Your spa must be restarted or professionally winterized before there is any risk of freezing temperatures or frost. Failure to do so may result in freeze damage that is not covered under warranty.
Service Includes:
- Neutralizing sanitizer levels (chlorine)
- Balancing water chemistry and pH
- Draining the spa
- Removing and leaving the filter(s) with the customer on-site
- Using a shop vacuum to remove accessible standing water from the spa
- Taping the spa breaker in the OFF position
Important Notes:
- This service does not remove all water from the plumbing system.
- Water may remain in plumbing lines, pumps, and other equipment components.
- Rainwater and moisture can still enter the spa through the cover during the shutdown period.
- Because the spa is not winterized, it must be restarted and brought back into operation, or professionally winterized, before the first risk of frost or freezing temperatures.
- Failure to do so may result in freeze damage to plumbing and equipment components.
This service is ideal for customers who intend to leave their spa unused for a short period during warmer months and plan to return it to service before winter conditions arrive.
